Wish I could give 0 stars. They can’t help me because my mental health doesn’t fit the exact criteria to be diagnosed, so even though they acknowledge the issue, they refuse to help or to refer me ri someone more skilled in the area… so they discharge me! It’s like if your right leg had 2 breaks in it but the doctor tells you “the criteria for a broken leg is 3 breaks in your left leg so yours doesn’t fit therefore BYE!” No help, no referrals elsewhere, just get discharged and told to go to the recovery college … as if arts and crafts are suppose to be the equivalent of clinical treatment 😒 I would say avoid here but sadly it’s all the local GPs can do is refer you here

I got discharged and never received a letter of notice while being pregnant and after being told I would be put on the waiting list to speak to a therapist and would be given DBT refreshers. I’d been asking for help for over a year and was always told they had no one to help me and I just had to deal with it. I was discharged because they suggested I get help from the perinatal mental health team, who they’re supposed to work alongside. I have EUPD and have been struggling the perinatal team do not deal with this disorder or offer any DBT for it. They have since excused that It was suggested I used the recovery college. But this is not the truth. They have no care or regard for pregnant women as this is apparently common for them to do, discharge pregnant women who use the perinatal team despite having prior mental health conditions.

Underfunded. Lack of community engagement. Certain staff are rude. Complained to PALS.

I was referred to CMHT Ampthill by my Dr. I felt like my experience was outstanding from diagnosis to treatment. They treat you as an individual and cater to your needs. I have previously worked with mental health specialists and this was one of the best being a patient for the first time for adhd. Thank you for your help

Appalling

My ADHD diagnosis was life changing and everyone at Ampthill CMHT, I have personally interacted with, has been very helpful and highly professional. I have never felt judged here. The psychiatrist I talked to actually listened to the specific issues I have experienced and gave me an accurate diagnosis along with detailed information as to my options going forward.

This place used to have bad reviews, and I ignored them, they seem to have been removed though. After attending the site multiple times, I can confirm the negative reviews were true. You will not be taken seriously and fobbed off. Try your luck elsewhere, maybe you will find some compassion under a rainbow. The only good people here are the receptionists, so ya know, silver lining and all.
